Project Description

Problem: The University of Auckland Investment Club (UAIC) wants a way to simplify their admin process like membership payments and event signups, as well as providing new features like a live or as close to live view of the New Zealand and Australian stock exchanges NZX50/ASX200 (to be decided) and an interface to view the club's own investment portfolio.

Solution: We make a brand new web application which will replace their current website (uaic.co.nz) and be moved out of squarespace.

Provide a near-live update of the current NZX/ASX stock market	Full-Stack
Display bulletin to show articles which should be publicly available and handled through a Content Management System (CMS)	PayloadCMS
Membership sign-up and payment - This is a yearly thing so the membership database needs to be cleared yearly	Authentication/Authorisation, Stripe
Students can sign up for events publicly, and view competitions publicly but you need to be a member to join competitions	Authentication/Authorisation

Client

Our client is Gavin, the education director of the University of Auckland Investment Club.
In 2025, Ezekiel was responsible for keeping in contact with them. In 2026, Andre is responsible for keeping in contact with them.
