Rows mounted by a synchronous resize render are still measured immediately, but their ResizeObserver registration waits until the next animation frame. Detached rows are unobserved after the synchronous renders finish, before the browser gathers another delivery round. Pending registrations are cancelled when rows are removed/replaced or the observer disconnects.
The regression fixture covers both growing and shrinking the rendered range and checks that the visible row stays anchored. Both paths emitted a ResizeObserver loop error before the fix; five new core regressions also failed before it.
Local validation:
Full pnpm test:pr --parallel=1: all targets passed across 69 affected projects (83 tasks executed, 39 cached).
Package unit suites: 536 passed, 1 existing skip; builds, type checks, ESLint, and strict package checks passed.
Full React browser suite: 44 passed in Chromium. Both new resize cases also passed in WebKit, checking window errors as well as uncaught exceptions.
I have tested this code locally with pnpm run test:pr.
🚀 Release Impact
This change affects published code, and I have generated a changeset.
This change is docs/CI/dev-only (no release).
Summary by CodeRabbit
Bug Fixes
Improved virtualized list behavior when rows resize during synchronous updates. Newly rendered rows are measured promptly, while resize observation is safely deferred; rows removed before observation are skipped.
Reduced resize-observer loop errors and preserved the visible scroll position when rows grow or shrink, keeping the anchored row in place as the rendered range changes.
Improved handling of rows that are removed, replaced, or disconnected before deferred resize observation occurs.

Walkthrough
The virtualizer queues observations requested during synchronous ResizeObserver delivery until the next animation frame. It removes queued observations for unobserved or disconnected elements. Unit and browser tests cover this behavior and row resizing.

Summary
Observer delivery and lifecycle validation packages/virtual-core/src/index.ts, packages/virtual-core/tests/measurement.test.ts, .changeset/quiet-row-observers.md
The observer tracks synchronous delivery and defers new observations until the next animation frame. Unit tests cover immediate measurement, detached rows, and skipping deferred observations for removed or disconnected rows.
A new browser test page and Playwright tests exercise row growth and shrinkage. The tests check rendered row counts, scroll anchoring, and ResizeObserver or page errors.
The resize tests now detect anchor-position jumps rather than only checking visibility. No actionable merge-blocking issue remains in the supplied evidence.

Full details: Title check
Explanation
The title "fix(core): avoid observer loop errors when resize renders change rows" matches the main change. The virtual-core ResizeObserver now defers registration of rows mounted during synchronous resize renders to the next animation frame, and unobserves detached rows, which prevents ResizeObserver loop errors when row ranges change. The title is specific and concise, and it uses the conventional commit prefix. It is 69 characters, within a reasonable length for a title.

Explanation
The description follows the template. It has a Changes section that explains the fix and its motivation, references issue #1345, and lists local validation. The checklist items are marked, and the release impact section is filled in with a changeset. The description is thorough and specific. The second release-impact box (docs/CI/dev-only) is left unchecked, which is correct for a published change.

Explanation
The changes satisfy the coding requirements in #1345. Virtualizer defers observations requested during synchronous ResizeObserver delivery, unobserves detached rows, and cancels pending observations for removed, replaced, or disconnected elements. The core tests cover these cases. The React browser test covers growing and shrinking ranges, anchor retention, and ResizeObserver loop errors.

Compare the anchor row's offset from the viewport top before and after the resize.
The containment check at lines 79-85 accepts any position where the anchor row still spans the viewport top. A shifted anchor row can therefore pass while the visible content jumps by nearly one row height. The default resize predicate never shifts the spanning anchor row's own offset, so an exact comparison is valid for this path.
