Bridging Wet-Lab Pathology and Computational Genomics

👨‍💻 About Me

I am an incoming M.Sc. researcher in the Biodiversity and Ecosystem Health program at Goethe University Frankfurt (Winter Semester 2026/2027). My expertise lies in translating complex biological questions into automated command-line analytical pipelines. Having built a strong wet-lab foundation in biological sciences (CGPA 3.98/4.00), I now focus on evolutionary genomics, phylogenomics, and statistical modeling using Linux environments.

  • 🔭 Current Focus: Developing automated Hidden Markov Model (HMM) pipelines for novel resistance gene discovery.
  • 🌱 Learning: Advanced algorithmic bioinformatics, bash scripting, and reproducible pipeline architecture.
  • 🎯 Open To: Research Assistant (HiWi) positions in computational evolution, ecology, and biological data analysis.

🛠️ Technical Arsenal

  • Core Stack: Bash (Linux/Ubuntu), R, Python
  • Bioinformatics: HMMER, MAFFT, FastTree, seqtk, EDirect, BLAST
  • Data Science: RandomForest, ggplot2, raster, sf
