Small Minds (Ryan Fleck, Mengxuan Chen,) is a team of uOttawa Computer Engineers. SM is primarily known for the Democracy voting app originally built for IEEE uOttawa's 2021 elections, but has since been used for many elections by other engineering faculty organizations.
Democracy is open source and split into two repositories:
A React/RSuite frontend for Democracy.
The Democracy API, written with Django/DRF, leveraging PostgreSQL and Redis.
Democracy frontend. Simple React PWA for running student elections. Can be deployed with any static website service like Netlify or Cloudflare Pages.
Democracy backend. Simple REST API for storing information about users, elections, candidates, and votes. Elastically deployable on AWS, DigitalOcean, Heroku, etc.
