This is a bufix release to fix compatibility with kotlinc
2.3.0. There was a bug in Metro's compatibility layer that caused it to not realize it could use the2.3.0-xcompatibility code with Kotlin2.3.0final. This release is otherwise identical to0.9.0.This release also remains backward-compatible all the way to Kotlin
2.2.20(including all the 2.3.0 preview releases) and forward compatible to2.3.20dev builds. See the compatibility docs for a full table of compatible versions.v0.9.0Compare Source

This release significantly improves the runtime performance of Metro-generated graphs, bringing them to parity with Dagger components' typical runtime performance (without fastInit enabled).
Class.enableGraphShardingGradle DSL property.@Providesproperties with@JvmFieldannotations.Providerinstance allocations during graph expression gen. This means that when a direct type is requested in code gen, Metro will skip instantiating the intermediateMetroFactoryinstance if possible, avoiding unnecessary allocations.Providerrefcounting. Previously, when detecting ifProviderinstance were used multiple times, Metro only checked for usages from other bindings.Providerelements/values, mark their sources as provider-accessed in refcounting.@BindsOptionalOflazily.newInstance()args not strippingLazyin top-level function inject classes.Anyto be abinding<...>()type if no explicit supertypes are declared.MembersInjectedbindings as deferrable in graph metadata reporting.replaceseffect from excluded contributions (regular and binding containers).Special thanks to the following contributors for contributing to this release!
