Welcome to the RustChain wiki. RustChain is a novel blockchain that rewards vintage and legacy hardware with higher mining multipliers through its Proof of Antiquity (PoA) consensus mechanism.
Most blockchains favor the newest, most powerful hardware. RustChain flips this model. A 2003 PowerBook G4 earns 2.5x the rewards of a modern x86 machine. A Power Mac G5 earns 2.0x. This creates a natural incentive to keep older machines running and productive rather than sending them to landfills.
- 3 attestation nodes running RIP-200 round-robin consensus
- 11+ active miners across PowerPC G4, G5, x86_64, Apple Silicon, and IBM POWER8
- RTC token with 8,388,608 total supply (2^23), fair launch, no ICO
- Ergo blockchain anchoring for tamper-proof audit trail
- Hardware fingerprinting with 6-check anti-emulation system
