The solution removes the black bars in anything other than 16:9 without reducing the field of view.

  1. Download the mod archive below.
  2. Unpack the files to Atlas\Binaries\Win64 (Steam etc) or Content\Atlas\Binaries\WinGDK (MS store) inside the game folder.

To uninstall the fix, simply remove or move the files.

Tested on the latest Steam version primarily at 2560x1080, 5120x1440 and 1440x1080. Tested on Microsoft Store by V-Sync.
