This got removed with the switch away from Electron but it would be visually more interesting if the news items showed the XML preview image (which I think the DevCenter should be setting).
The slightly hard part about this is that I think we should have an image cache in the launcher where images are kept for like 30 days after downloading (unless the image specifies it is not allowed to be cached).
