Codex Desktop can store equivalent Windows paths in both normal and extended
\\?\forms. That can make a real active session look stale during resume, matching the failure seen locally. Upstream has not reviewed the open cleanup PRs, so this makes the fork usable as the maintained recovery/maintenance source.Validation
