ATMS 523 Module 2: ERA5 Precipitation Analysis

This project analyzes daily total precipitation over Shreveport, LA using ERA5 reanalysis data. It identifies extreme precipitation days (95th percentile), computes composite and anomaly maps, and visualizes results using matplotlib and cartopy.

  • xarray and dask for data handling
  • matplotlib and cartopy for plotting
  • ERA5 data from NCAR GDEX
