Ice Changes

Cold Sweat introduces a number of changes to how ice blocks work to make them more viable as an early-game fuel source by making it easier to farm and obtain.

Freezing Changes

Ice now freezes according to Cold Sweat's temperature system, rather than simply using the vanilla biome temperature. Because of this, several new factors are also considered:

• The biome temperature (according to Cold Sweat's calculations, which take into account user configurations)
• The time of day (also considers humidity)
• The current season (if a seasons mod like Serene Seasons is installed)

Harvesting Changes

The following changes have been made to ice blocks to make them an early-game resource:

• Ice can now be mined with a stone pickaxe or higher, without silk touch.
  • When mined without the proper tool, it will create a water source as normal.
• Packed and Blue ice require an iron pickaxe or higher.
