Foodies is a mobile application that allows users to explore restaurants, view menus, add items to favorites, and more. This README provides instructions for setting up and running the app.
To get started with Foodies, follow these steps:
- Android Studio installed on your development machine.
- Android emulator or a physical Android device connected to your machine.

Clone the repository to your local machine using Git:
git clone https://gitlab.com/your-gitlab-username/foodies-app.git
Open Android Studio.
Click on "File" > "Open" and navigate to the foodies-app directory that you just cloned.
Android Studio will automatically recognize the project and build the necessary files.
Running the App Make sure you have an Android emulator running or a physical Android device connected to your machine.
In Android Studio, click the green "Run" icon (or press Shift + F10) to build and install the app on the emulator or device.
Wait for the app to build and install.
Once installed, you can open the Foodies app on your emulator or device.
Usage Upon opening the app, you will have options to log in, register, or continue without logging in.
Explore restaurants, view their menus, and add your favorite items.
You can also search for specific menu items or restaurants.
Users can view, comment on, and favorite menu items. Menu items can be downloaded in PDF format for later access.
All users can edit their profiles via the Profile page.
