Add a Matrix chat action alongside Mattermost so workflows can send templated messages to an existing Matrix room. Configure the homeserver URL, bot access token and room ID; the action renders Jinja2 templates against
matchingDataordata, with the same JSON fallback as Mattermost. The module sends plain-text
m.room.messageevents through the Matrix Client-Server API using the existingrequestsdependency. It encodes room IDs, uses unique transaction IDs, applies a timeout, and reports success only after an HTTP 200 response with an event ID. Errors are returned without provider response bodies or credentials. Includes a setup guide and generated module catalog entries.Supports unencrypted rooms; the bot must already have joined and be allowed to send messages. End-to-end encryption and HTML/Markdown formatting are unsupported.
Validation:
pytest -q tests/test_matrix.py: 48 passed, including prepared HTTP request checks and/modules+/queryintegration.git diff --checkpassed.Matrix HTTP responses are mocked; no live homeserver or bot credentials were supplied.
