A JupyterLab extension for version control using git

- Open the git extension from the Git tab on the left panel
To install perform the following steps:
pip install --upgrade jupyterlab-git
jupyter lab buildIf you would like to contribute to the project, please read our contributor documentation.

Requires node 4+ and npm 4+
# Clone the repo to your local environment
git clone https://github.com/jupyterlab/jupyterlab-git.git
cd jupyterlab-git
# Install JupyterLab
pip install jupyterlab
# Install Javascript dependencies
jlpm install
# Install the server extension in development mode
pip install -e .[test]
jupyter serverextension enable --py jupyterlab_git
# Link your development version of the extension with JupyterLab
jupyter labextension link .To rebuild the package after a change and the JupyterLab app:
jlpm run build
jupyter lab buildTo execute the tests
pytest jupyterlab_git
jlpm run test
