Mainly because it couldn't really be achieved within the confines of the minimal-mistakes jekyll theme (or any jekyll theme really), at least not without substantial effort, and I am an incredibly lazy individual.
Even just frankensteining these files into the existing SitV site would have been too much work, so I chose to simply make it a separate site.
Potentially. I can't really be bothered to add Music/Albums, as I rarely have a strong enough opinion on a song to feel the need to write it out. Books might be added one day, because good lord are there a lot of books I'd love to rate, rank and review. Videogames might be added too, kinda so I can praise good indie/AA titles, but mostly so I can shit on online multiplayer shooters. Most other media isn't worth adding a category for honestly, either because I don't consume it, or because I have no opinion on it worth sharing.
Yes I used generative AI to write the bulk of the HTML/CSS/JS.
No I do not consider it to be "vibe-coded", particularly given the amount of times it hallucinated or just gave nonsensical answers that even I with my limited knowledge knew was wrong; I subsequently had to fix or figure it out myself far too often.
Furthermore, as I mentioned above: I am an incredibly lazy individual. I also have the stylistic sense of a schizophrenic bag lady; If I hadn't used AI, you would be looking at an eyesore of a website.
And obviously I don't use AI to write the reviews, because 1. I'm not Indian, and 2. that would defeat the entire point of this site.
