1.1 Sustainability Op-Ed (Opposite Editorial)
An opposite editorial (op-ed) focusing on the intersection of sustainability and technology - Data Centres. This op-ed calls for a path towards greener and more sustainable data centrs, given an increasingly digitalised world.
Pecha Kucha means 'chit-chat' in Japanese and is a format of 'Show and Tell'. The presenter shows 20 slides for 20 seconds of commentary each.
This presentation focused on Singapore's approach to Circular Economy.
Coupled with the fast paced nature of Pecha Kucha, this presentation employed the power of memes to captivate audiences and convey complex ideas with succinct wit, resonating with the ever-evolving tastes and preferences of today's generation.
1.3 Sustainability Symposium Research
Final Research Project exploring Nuclear Power and its Feasibility in Singapore’s context. The research question for the project is - How feasible is adopting nuclear energy to meet Singapore’s energy needs and advance Singapore’s goal of net-zero by 2050?
The aim of this research project is to identify a local target company that underwent digital transformation during the COVID pandemic. The aim is to study the interplay between IT, work, management and organisation and issues involving information systems (IS) adoption and deployment. The target company chosen for the assessment was National University Hospital (NUH).
3.1 Individual Assignment - The Grand Finale: End of life preparation
The aim of this research project is to analyse End of Life (EOL) preparation, focusing on Advanced Care Planning (ACP) amongst elderly in Singapore. It also explores other related EOL services in Singapore and ongoing challenges it face in encouraging uptake.
3.2 Group Presentation Assignment - Therapeutic Activities Among Older Adults Living in The Community
The aim of this group presentation is to identify and analyse issues related to the chosen topic. It analyses the global and local situations and discuss the relevance in Singapore's context. The research is grounded in literature reviews and theoretical framework. It also includes practical recommendations based on the research.
4.1 Critical Summary Assignment
A critical summary that explains and critically analyses an argument (or arguments) in an approved reading (i.e. Cohen, G. A. “Why Not Socialism?”).
4.2 Wealth Inequality Essay - Is capitalism a necessary condition for innovation?
An essay assignment that explored both the theoretical and applied aspect of wealth inequality. An accompanying deck of presentation that served as a prelude to the essay is also included.
5.1 Collection of Learning Journals
A collection of Learning Journals on Biomedicine in Singapore covering a range of topics including: Technology, Ethics, Policy as part of the course curriculum.
Final Research Project exploring TCM in Singapore. It is imperative that Singapore integrates TCIM into its national health strategy, in line with the ongoing movement of Healthier SG and shift towards preventive care. The research question for the project is - How can TCM be better integrated into Singapore’s healthcare system?
6.1 Individual Term Research Paper - Regulatory Compliance in Information Security Using AI Agents and Decision Intelligence Frameworks
Research Project exploring how AI agents and decision intelligence frameworks can help Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) owners comply with the Cybersecurity Act 2018. The research focuses on Sections 14, 15, and 16, which address incident reporting, audits and risk assessments, and cybersecurity exercises, respectively. A critical analysis of these provisions was conducted and the paper proposed innovative and practical solutions for CII owners to manage compliance risks effectively.
6.2 Group Project - Manual on Digital Forensics Investigation: Bridging Technical and Legal Standards
A Group Project that culminated in a comprehensive manual on digital forensics investigation that aligns with both international best practices INTERPOL’s Guidelines for Digital Forensics First Responders and the UK’s ACPO Good Practice Guide for Digital Evidence) and Singapore's legal and regulatory framework, addressing the current gap in standardized guidelines for information security firms in Singapore. An accompanying deck of presentation is also included.
