BobaClub

Orbital Cohort 2020

A web application that aims to easily survey all boba options at hand so as to ease this trying process of purchasing some bubble tea.

Features include:

  • Interactive forum that serves as a shared platform where users and shop-owners alike can discuss and interact with one another to discuss, comment or simply share their thoughts. Users can create posts, comment on and upvote threads & replies. Ability to edit/ delete posts & comments made. All posts and replies, upvotes will be displayed.

  • The menu/ shop page provides a platform where shop owners can share and update their drinks menu and where promotional information can be shared. It also serves to allow users to comment (review) and upvote drinks/ flavours presented in the menu. Shop owners can post, delete and edit drink flavours and promotional info on their menu. Users & shop owners can comment (review) and upvote specific flavours. Browsing page where all shops will be displayed, and specific shops can be searched for.

Getting Started

These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes.

Prerequisites

What things you need to install the software (Please refer to their documentations for downloading and it's usage)

1) Node.js
2) npm
3) MongoDB

Installing

A step by step series of examples that tell you how to get a development env running

  1. Clone/ Download Zip file

  2. Change working driectory to the downloaded file

  3. Start local MongoDB server (refer to MongoDB's documentation)

  4. Initialise node modules

npm install
  1. Launch Google Chrome and proceed to
http://localhost:3000/
