This pull request contains my work for the Individual Shell Tools exercises as part of Sprint 1.
Each shell tool (ls, cat, wc, grep, sed, awk) has its own commit, so progress is easy to follow.
At this point, the ls exercises are complete and committed.
I will continue adding commits for the remaining tools in the same PR.
