Describing Issue Tasks
Event: Preparation, Hosting and post-event work for town halls, IdeaReels, or attending IdeaFest, and the main Catalyst Townhall/After Townhall.
Workshop: Hands on workshop/learning incl. Preparation, hosting and attending
Community: Everything related to managing the community from promotion, moderation, answering queries, metrics.
Media: Production of graphics design, branding work, video and podcasts
Content: Writing, editing, and translation of content.
Catalyst: Activities related to funding, reporting, challenge teams etc.
Meeting: Preparation and attending of team meetings and other meetings specifically related to C3ETH Actives.
Operations: Behind the scenes running of the C3ETH such as treasury payments work, service admin, stake-pool operations.
Infrastructure: Anything related to improving the C3ETH Website and process with automation.
Townhall: Townhall related activities
Proposal: Proposal writing, submission promotion, and engagement
IdeaReel: Activities related to preparing, promoting, hosting, reporting of IdeaReel
Community Management: Managing the community. Being the “Community Avenger” includes attending events or workshops hosted by other communities for the purpose of sharing or improving our processes/practises.
Community Moderation: Community moderation, queries, and social media. Being the community Heroes.
Translation: Translation of content to another language
Reporting: Reporting activities back to the team and community at large. Attending or tasks related to Coordinator, or other town halls (when representing C3ETH).
Website: Managing, updating, and improving the website and it’s content. It will overlap with related tasks for creating the content or media. For example posting a Catalyst TV episode to the website.
Stake Pool: Operation and promotional aspects of helping to improve the level of delegation to the C3ETH Stake pool.
Challenge Team: Organising and participating in challenge team activities.
Catalyst Boost: Participating in Catalyst Boost programme
Catalyst Innovate: Activities associated with planning, preparing and planning Catalyst Innovate
Catalyst TV: Planning, pre and post production work needed to produce a Catalyst TV episode.
Treasury: Expenses payments, renumeration, budgeting, planning, and reporting of treasury related activities.
Marketing: Marketing and Communications. Preparing and managing the C3ETH brand visual and written language across our different community channels.
Team Checkin: Core team weekly check-in meetings.
Issue Management: Goals, Task planning, setting issue priorities, project board maintenance, curating issues, tagging, closing out.
To size the amount of effort associated with an issue we use Tee-Shirt sizing. This is an approximate measure and over time we will get better at estimating the effort required for completing as given set of tasks. At the moment the tee-shirt sizing should consider all factors that contribute to completing an issue: time, effort, difficulty.
To help understand how to use Tee-Shirt sizing use the following rule of thumb:
| Size | Explanation of use |
|---|---|
| Extra-Small (XS): | A relatively simple issue that can completed with ease and take less than an hour of effort. |
| Small (S): | A straight-forward issue that can completed within 1 -2 hours or effort. |
| Medium (M): | A more complicated issue requiring many steps/tasks and maybe coordination between team members. I may take 2 - 4 hours of combined effort. |
| Large (L): | A more complex issue requiring many steps/tasks and coordination between team members. I may take 4 - 8 hours of combined effort. |
| Extra Large (XL): | A chaotic or time-consuming issue spread over may days a needing the collaboration and coordination between team members. I may take 8 - 16 hours of combined effort. |
