@ikstream I did some changes into package list, hooks (my changes seems to be as same as yours) and customize_airootfs.sh to make iso available for successful building but we need to get rid of it (during the build I saw message that it will be removed in the future archiso versions). I have no opportunity to work on this project until Saturday but I can answer your questions about my changes if you have ones :) .

Yes, customize_airootfs.sh needsd to go. That's what the hooks are intended for. No worries, I am a bit short on time as well. It's good to have the state here, so we don't spend precious time on the same things.
