This PR fixes issue #376 where the listmodels tool would fail if the AI agent automatically injected reasoning or other metadata into the tool call. By setting additionalProperties: True, the tool now remains compatible with various AI agent implementations.

Summary of Changes

Hello @ricatix, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request addresses a compatibility issue with the listmodels tool, which previously failed when AI agents introduced unexpected metadata into tool calls. By adjusting the tool's input schema to accept additional properties, the change significantly improves the tool's robustness and broadens its compatibility across different AI agent implementations, ensuring smoother operation.

Highlights

  • Schema Flexibility: The listmodels tool's input schema has been updated to allow additional properties, resolving an issue where AI agents injecting metadata into tool calls would cause failures.
  • AI Agent Compatibility: This change ensures the listmodels tool remains compatible with various AI agent implementations that might automatically add reasoning or other metadata to tool calls.

Code Review

This pull request correctly addresses a compatibility issue in the listmodels tool by allowing additional properties in its input schema. Changing additionalProperties to True makes the tool more robust by preventing validation failures when AI agents inject metadata into the tool call. Since the listmodels tool doesn't use any input arguments, this change is safe and effective. The fix is well-justified and looks good to merge.
