Jail
Jail lets moderators bring rule-breakers into the towers on Surface, saving their gameplay state.
This feature can be disabled in the config
When jailing a player, their gameplay information (role, items, effects) will be saved. Upon unjailing, this state will be restored, allowing them to continue playing.
Two commands exist to jail/unjail people:
The simple jail command toggles the jailed state of each target.
Players not in jail will be jailed, and players who were in jail will be unjailed.
Usage: jail <players> [towerIndex]
Examples:
-
jail 2.3 1- sends players 2 and 3 into the second jail tower -
jail 3- if player 3 is jailed, they will be unjailed, and vice versa
This commands works based on the sender's state.
If the sender is not jailed, they and the targets will be jailed. If the sender is in jail, they and the targets will be unjailed.
Usage: jwm <players> [towerIndex]
Examples:
-
jwm RuleBreaker- If the sender is not jailed:
- Jails the sender
- Jails player
RuleBreakerif they aren't already jailed
- If the sender is in jail:
- Unjails the sender
- Unjails player
RuleBreakerif they're currently in jail
- If the sender is not jailed:
jwm 2.3.4
Note
Remote Admin Options are not currently compatible with CedMod
Note
Previously jailed entries do not persist across full server restarts.
A Remote Admin Option has been added to track previously jailed players, in case the jailed player leaves and the staff forgets who they were.
The option is hidden if you haven't jailed anyone or if you've cleared the list.
If you wish to hide this option in your RA completely, type raOpt hide $jailed in the Text-Based Remote Admin.
Select the Previously Jailed option in the RA, then click:
-
REQUESTto view the previous player. -
REQUEST IPto view the next player. -
REQUEST AUTHto reveal the current entry's Steam ID and IP. IP access may be further configured in the config -
EXTERNAL LOOKUPto clear the list. If the button is disabled, configure the server as shown here
The green double-page icon can be clicked to copy the player's nickname, Steam ID or IP.
