pipesnake is implemented in Nextflow by Ziad Al-Bkhetan utilising an initial version written in Python by Sonal Singhal and augmented by Ian Brennan.
The original workflow for pipesnake was largely influenced by the phenomenal PHYLUCE.
Funding, motivation, and support in many capacities have been provided by:
- BioPlatforms Australia
- Australian BioCommons
- Australian Amphibian and Reptile Genomics
- Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre
We thank the following people for their assistance in the development of this pipeline:
- Sophie Mazard
- Johan Gustafsson
- Sarin (Putter) Tiatragul
- Damien Esquérre
- Scott Keogh
The Australian BioCommons supported this project by sponsoring the development of the Nextflow version of this workflow and providing compute resources on the Setonix supercomputer at Pawsey Supercomputing Centre through the Australian BioCommons Leadership Share (ABLeS). In addition, the Nextflow Tower service will be utilised to run and monitor the execution of this workflow for the AusARG community on Setonix.
A pipeline of this type is only as good as the software tools it's built upon.
Please make sure to credit the software used.
To make this easier, we've gathered this info in the CITATIONS document.
