I don't think showing the note ID is very useful. When updating cards it's a lot more useful to get a readable representation of the card, so you know that you actually updated the right card.

Right now it just uses the first field, but I could also see this as a config option. In theory there could be a toggle for if you want to show field contents or the note ID, but I don't think the note ID is useful enough for that.

For me it's fine either way. When I update a note, the Browser window shows up. I usually edit the note right after.

I'll move ahead with this then.

Do you think it should be a config option or is the first field fine? First field requires one less option which I think is nice since there are quite a few already, but there's no guarantee you have something useful in the first field. On the other hand, I still think it's strictly better than showing the ID, so it could be changed to a config option later if needed.

I think it's unnecessary to create a config option for something as simple as this.

You can check if it's empty and display "empty note" or "note id xxx" in such cases.
