This is a companion PR to ACCESS-NRI/ACCESS-ESM1.6#86 to test ACCESS-ESM1.6 using the new MOM5 CMake build system and associated changes.

The repro test failure here is expected. The historical checksums were generated using access-esm1.5 dev_2025.04.000 which used a version of access-fms that changed answers relative to using MOM5 internal FMS - see here. I have since fixed access-fms so it now reproduces answers with the internal version. Additionally, prior to moving MOM5 to CMake, the access-esm1.6 version used the same compiler flags as access-esm1.5. With CMake, access-esm1.6 uses the same flags as the om2 versions.
