NIST is a windows installer (chocolatey: choco install nsis)
pynsist is a wrapper to install python apps in Windows (pip3 install pynsist).
The python app is then packed with all dipendencies including python itself in a single -installable- executable.
This is installed with few clicks.
to build the windows installer:
pynsist installer.nsist.cfg
QuangoPlus: For correct working: the command line --tango-host=ictrlfs.ictrl.frm2:10000
(as example) should be specified or the environment variable TANGO_HOST should be set.
To avoid the neccessity to set TANGO_HOST the quango app is started with the --tango-host option which is
specified in the desktop shortcut by editing installer.nsi and adding
SetOutPath "%HOMEDRIVE%\%HOMEPATH%"
CreateShortCut "$SMPROGRAMS\QuangoPlus.lnk" "$INSTDIR\Python\pythonw.exe" \
- '"$INSTDIR\QuangoPlus.launch.pyw"' "$INSTDIR\quango+.ico"
+ '"$INSTDIR\QuangoPlus.launch.pyw" --tango-host=ictrlfs.ictrl.frm2:10000' "$INSTDIR\quango+.ico"
SetOutPath "$INSTDIR"
To create the tango_host.diff: under mingw: diff -u installer.nsi installer-b.nsi >tango_host.diff
save installer.nsi and run makensis installer.nsi to build exe again with the modified shortcut.
