[BUG] Touchscreen controls not being sent to the PS

I changed my controller map from 103 to 0, and after that change the touchscreen control is not sent to the PS, either on PS4 nor PS5. I change the controller map back to what I had before it stopped working and it remains broken. Is there a way I can troubleshoot this?

I have already renamed the config file so a new one is created, in case that would help but it didn't.

That is very strange. I am not able to reproduce this behavior.

1. To confirm, are you saying that the touchscreen no longer responds in any way in any controller map? E.g., in controller maps where the left and right sides of the touchscreen act as triggers, neither of those works? And in maps where the whole touchscreen is supposed to act as the trapezoid button, that also doesn't work?
2. Do the physical buttons work as expected?
3. Does the PS Vita touchscreen definitely work for other apps and games?
4. Do you have any extensions installed on your vita? Especially ones related to the touchscreen or buttons.

1. Yes, the touchscreen no longer works using any controller map.
2. Physical buttons work as expected (also the rear touch)
3. Touchscreen works perfectly fine outside of vitaki (in games, user interface, even the web browser)
4. No, I actually changed the controller map the first time to avoid installing any other stuff, and it worked perfectly fine, but when I changed it back, it stopped working.

Thanks for the reply. I want to add that I removed the app and installed the latest vpk... and it didn't work. I don't know if I have to delete config files or anything else, I just long pressed the app, deleted, and then reinstalled the vpk.

Hmm....a few of the controller maps (5, 25, 105, 125) disable the touchscreen so maybe there is a bug which is getting you stuck on one of those....

If you open the config file (ux0:data/vita-chiaki/chiaki.toml), there should be an entry under [settings] that says:

controller_map_id = 103

Can you check that that the value in the config file is like this?

If the number isn't what you expect, then it might be a UI bug and it might be possible to work around for now by setting the value manually in the config file....

Hello.

I tested all controller map configurations and I can tell that the vita's front panel does send information, when I use maps 1 or 2 (for example) I can use R2, L2, R3 and L3, however the touchpad I cannot use. I am testing with MGSV in my PS4 and with Astro's playroom on my PS5. I cannot seem to make the touchpad work, not when assigning it to entire front or front center.

Using the official remote play app (PS4 link, if I recall correctly) does send the touchpad info.

Any help or guidance is truly appreciated.

Regarding plugins, I think you can check the config file and any .skprx or .suprx files in ur0:tai/ .

I wonder if you could give VitaRPS5 a shot? I haven't been doing much with Vitaki since getting up to a basically playable state, but mauricio-gg has now forked it and is making a lot of improvements. In particular, they seem to have updated the back touchpanel logic in a recent update.
