The font will not appear in the Windows console prompt. There are some fonts that will never display despite being correctly added to the registry. FreeMono is one of them that will not work with Windows 10.

Hi, I faced the same problem and after trying almost everything by myself, I found this #109 (comment) pointing me to probably the only fix for this issue.
Basically, for an unknown reason the new versions of FreeMono seem to not be supported by the Windows 10 CMD, after testing all the versions on the GNU site, I found that the good one is the freefont-ttf-20080323 version.
