Unable to get GUI prompt after selection on macOS

First apologies if this is the wrong place. I have installed maxima-5.4.0 on macOS 10.15.7 and all went well until I select the wrong GUI option when the prompt appeared.

Iv uninstalled by dragging application to the bin several times and then installing again but I never see that prompt again. Iv looked for local files that might hold the value for the selection but so far nothing.

Any help on getting the prompt to show again or where best to post this would be very much appreciated.

Hmm... ...I have no mac and therefore have never seen what GUI it prompts for. What GUI does your mac open and what GUI do you want? And in which situation? When you double-click on .wxmx files? Perhaps with enough knowledge I can ask someone who actually owns a mac...
