One of the problems that we often come across is a problem with broken links or missing pages behind these links. To make sure that each link is OK involves clicking links one by one and verifying results.

As the AET User I want to be able to get an additional page health check showing the number of proper and broken links on pages that are covered with AET.

One of the solution may be a link validator that will work as https://validator.w3.org/checklink and will allow me to:

  • check links and anchors in a web page,
  • check occurrences of a pattern defined by the user.

Please note that the feature can make use of the source that AET already collects. The pattern checking can work similarly as the filters that are already parts of AET.

When implementing the feature please remember about proper documentation with examples explaining the user how to make use of the feature.
