I wanted to create a new ingredient (beer) to track calories from my alcohol intake in the nutrition tracker, but currently that's not possible due to the safeguard that calculates calories from the macros
The total energy (23kcal) is not the approximate sum of the energy provided by protein, carbohydrates and fat (3.36kcal +/-15%)
For alcohol, you won't be able to reach the total energy via protein/fat/carbs alone since ethanol has about 5 calories per gram, and there's no way to add ethanol on a new ingredient.
I could see why having ethanol as an option for all ingredients might not make sense since most ingredients don't have any, so perhaps a good solution would be to add a checkbox to bypass the calories safeguard?
