For example, users may want the charts to stay up for minutes of a time vs looking up the ICAO code for the airline is no longer needed when the lookup is needed. It is annoying to needing to jump to a new component in order to do this short lookup and then navigating back to the charts.
I propose having a collapsible sidebar where you can perform the ICAO code lookup. This allows you to have the charts remain open
