I also dislike the idea how to define them, even React and Svelte look better in this terms.

It improved again in Vue 3.3! There are also https://github.com/sxzz/vue-macros for both individual props (inspired by Svelte) and individual emits that I really like ❤️‍🔥

Props look improved :), but emits are not. Personally, don't like emits at all, why not to pass a callback from parent to child instead, or use message bus/stores.

You can do that in your own components right? The TypeScript syntax improved at least. And the defineEmit macro helps sending events without explicit emit.
