After creating a Ventoy bootable USB drive with version 1.0.99, I experienced a significant drop in file transfer performance. Before using Ventoy, the USB drive's transfer speed was approximately 120 MB/s. After installing Ventoy, the speed dropped to 40 MB/s during file copies.
This issue is consistent across multiple devices and occurs even after reformatting and recreating the Ventoy USB stick.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
Format a USB drive (64 GB, MBR, Legacy BIOS).
Install Ventoy version 1.0.99 on the USB drive.
Copy a large file (e.g., 1 GB) to the USB drive.
Observe the reduced transfer speed (40 MB/s instead of 120 MB/s).
What I expected:
File transfer speeds to remain consistent with the USB drive's original performance (around 120 MB/s).
What I observed:
File transfer speeds are significantly reduced after installing Ventoy.
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
File transfer performance will depend on the file system that was used to format the USB drive.
By default Ventoy will use exFAT. What was the filesystem type BEFORE you installed Ventoy?
