Re: 4 TechFAR is a process guide to "hack" the FAR for innovative procurements. Our own Jon M is one of the original authors, and the key is that it speaks to leveraging the FAR guidance rather than trying to change it. Many agencies were excited to use this guidance to improve their service delivery and acquisition practices, but just because something exists does not mean we are all familiar with how to use it. Something more was needed. Through proven strategies, case studies, interactive tools, expert advice, and specific initiatives; the TechFAR Hub was designed to help those who must execute digital service strategies through contracts understand and navigate how industry best practices for digital service plays can be done through federal acquisition regulation"_ |
Just read through the December 2024 Survey Readout. We should likely consider that data anecdotal as it just barley meets the minimum requirements for a representative sample. And even then it is a sample that we can only have 90% confidence in and has a 10% margin of error. That doesn't meat we shouldn't account for it, but rather view it as very incomplete. If you're curious, this tool is a good one for helping to think through population sampling. https://www.qualtrics.com/blog/calculating-sample-size/ |
I loved the setup and delivery instructions for the new case studies. It's going to be a MAJOR improvement in terms of replacing what's currently there. |
@Chianti7 Are all of these new case studies? |
@TahiraG I'm still a little confused about the overlap between the TechFAR hub and DITAP resources. I assume its a Venn diagram and I need help understanding what goes in DITAP, what happens in TechFAR and what the overlap is. At our in-person session in DC, we talked about building into DITAP things like "Buying toolkit with metrics and templates; sample language" and I wonder if some of that exists in TechFAR and we'd be linking to it. We can chat about it in our curriculum meeting, no need to answer here necessarily! |
