The Japanese filters list (https://www.cromite.org/filters/japanese-filters+easylist.txt) is not updating and only shows download errors.

That's because the link is invalid, in an older ver. for me none of them seem to be hosted on that site, if this has changed, then I wonder how many of those links are actually valid...
Instead use: https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus.org/japanese-filters+easylist.txt

           All default filters are downloaded from www.cromite.org/filters urls. You can enter your lists via the settings: http url redirection is prohibited.
