Describe the bug

When you install the Enpass extension, it has to connect to the application running on your machine for passwords. When clicking on the link, the extension tab opens saying it's looking for the local instance.

From this point it should open the Enpass app and ask you to confirm the connection. Instead, the Enpass app opens to whatever page it was previously on and nothing happens in the browser. This has to be a Cromite issue because it works like it should in Chome, Chromium, Edge, Opera, Vivaldi, Brave, and Thorium.

NOTE: I have already unchecked 'Authorize browsers with valid code signatures only' as most of the above listed browsers would not work otherwise. This setting is under Settings > Browsers

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Install Enpass on local machine. Don't purchase anything, the app defaults to a free 10 password mode.
  2. In Enpass Settings > Browsers, untick Authorize browsers with valid code signatures only.
  3. Install the browser extension
  4. Click the extension icon.

Expected behavior

It should open a new tab saying it's looking for the desktop app. When it finds it, it should open it to the authorization page and give you a code to enter to authorize the browser.

I just ran into the same bug on a Manjaro Linux platform. Cromite version is 131.0.6778.140 (Official build) Manjaro Linux (64 bits) and Enpass is 6.11.1
