No notification for discurse

I noticed that I can't activate a notification for discourse, does anyone know why?

I can imagine that lemmy uses some api other than the push notification api

for the browser push, doesn't everyone have to address the same api of the browser?

Technically there may be different ways, e.g. the use of http requests via pooling to check for new messages, or via websocket for example.
The difference is that the push notification api allows the receipt of notifications even if the site is not open, the others only if the site is open.

Too bad that this does not work out, I had hoped to finally have a browser that can do everything I need.

by choice, everything related to google services is not present in this browser due to their privacy policy.
