Misleading error message when not signed in while editing

Description

For some reason, I got signed out while writing on a project, so my local state couldn't be synced anymore. The error message I got when making changes didn't really inform about that though, but read

Could not save settings: The service is trying to access a user's account without specifying which.

After reloading the page, I was asked to sign back in, and everything worked as expected again.
