When I try to create a map (as in the documentation), rviz doesn't work and looks like the following:

Image

and this message is printed repeated on the terminal:

[rviz2-1] [INFO] [1738692198.324673845] [turtlebot3.rviz2]: Message Filter dropping message: frame 'rplidar_link' at time 1700601315.529 for reason 'discarding message because the queue is full'

I've launched SLAM and these are the outputs from the terminal:

Image

I've also tried to launch nav2 and got the repeated message:

[controller_server-1] [INFO] [1738692315.625721801] [turtlebot3.local_costmap.local_costmap]: Timed out waiting for transform from base_link to odom to become available, tf error: Invalid frame ID "odom" passed to canTransform argument target_frame - frame does not exist

I've tried to update create3 and the rpi4 to the latest version and updated the ntp config as in this issue and I haven't moved the robot out of the dock during all the process.

But this problem is still persisting.

Setup

  • OS: !Pop_os 22.04 LTS
  • ROS Distro: Humble
  • Built from source or installed: installed
  • Package version: turtlebot4_base -b humble
  • turtlebot version: lite
