Installation - CMake error - Alienware Area-51m R2

I recently installed Kubuntu on my Alienware Area-51m R2 and discovered my fans are not working so I was hoping this would solve that. I ran the first line for the debian installation, but then I ran the following and received an error:

then run make cmd

I ran the commands and then ran the make command and that seemed to get me through the install. However, I tried to run AWCC from the start menu and it didn't open. Do I need to restart?

I did the other commands and I just started it up again. However when I go to the start menu and try to open Alienware Command Center it looks like it's starting, but then just quits.

While I have used Linux before, it has been a while and this is a brand new build for me.

I ran git pull --rebase in the AWCC directory and that seemed to work. Then I ran cmake .. -G Ninja
