🛠 Step-by-Step Setup

1. Create Repository on GitHub

  1. Go to GitHub.com
  2. Click "New Repository"
  3. Repository name: llm-explicit-cache-management
  4. Description: Explicit Cache Management System for Large Language Model Inference
  5. ✅ Public
  6. ✅ Add README.md
  7. ✅ Add .gitignore (Python)
  8. ✅ Choose MIT License
  9. Click "Create repository"

2. Clone and Set Up Local Repository

# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/YOUR-USERNAME/llm-explicit-cache-management.git
cd llm-explicit-cache-management

# Create directory structure
mkdir -p docs spec examples/{basic-usage,document-chat,multi-document}
mkdir -p implementations/{python,javascript,integration-guides}
mkdir -p benchmarks/results
mkdir -p assets/{architecture,logos}

3. Add the Core Files

Copy each of these files to their respective locations:

Root Files:

  • README.md → Root directory (replace existing)
  • CONTRIBUTING.md → Root directory

Documentation:

  • docs/getting-started.md
  • spec/core-specification.md
  • spec/syntax-reference.md
  • spec/use-cases.md

Additional Files to Create:

.gitignore (add to existing):

# Python
__pycache__/
*.py[cod]
*$py.class
*.so
.Python

4. Create Placeholder Files

# Create empty placeholder files
touch docs/api-reference.md
touch docs/implementation-guide.md
touch examples/basic-usage/README.md
touch examples/document-chat/README.md
touch examples/multi-document/README.md
touch implementations/python/README.md
touch implementations/javascript/README.md
touch benchmarks/README.md

5. Add Initial Content to Placeholder Files

docs/api-reference.md:

# API Reference

> Coming soon - Complete API reference documentation

This will include:
- Complete function/method documentation
- Parameter specifications
- Return value details
- Error codes and handling
- Integration examples

**Status**: Planned for v1.1.0

See [Syntax Reference](../spec/syntax-reference.md) for current command syntax.

examples/basic-usage/README.md:

# Basic Usage Examples

Simple examples demonstrating core cache management functionality.

## Examples

- `python-simple.py` - Basic Python implementation
- `javascript-basic.js` - Basic JavaScript/Node.js implementation

## Running Examples

```bash
# Python example
python python-simple.py
# JavaScript example
node javascript-basic.js
Status: In development
**implementations/python/README.md:**
```markdown
# Python Reference Implementation

Complete Python SDK for LLM explicit cache management.

## Features (Planned)

- [ ] Core cache management
- [ ] Session isolation
- [ ] Memory optimization
- [ ] Mobile-friendly API
- [ ] Integration with popular LLM libraries

## Installation (Future)

```bash
pip install llm-explicit-cache
Status: Development starting Q3 2025
### 6. Initial Commit and Push
```bash
# Add all files
git add .

# Create comprehensive initial commit
git commit -m "feat: initial specification and documentation for LLM explicit cache management

- Core specification with complete syntax definition
- Comprehensive use cases and examples
- Getting started guide for developers
- Contributing guidelines for community
