transcribe a folder

I am interesting with transcribing a list of MP3 files all located in a single folder.
It'd be great if one could select a folder instead of a file.
Then one could decide whether to generate separate text files or a single long file.

@PreciseAsteroid I was wondering about the same thing. Though I have audio files in separate folders in a single directory so it would be great if it could identify all the transcribable files within the parent directory . Maybe select file type and then as you mentioned save text file in the format user wants/needs.

Features like that can be useful but for the simple user it can complicate the program, but I can add it to non standard location in the program, eg. in 'Advcaned'
In terms of how it will be used, it can work like that:
There will be a button of "Add files", you can open it multiple times, each time you can add multiple files from different folders.
Eventually, you click transcribe and it transcribe one after one and creates txt / srt / vtt file in the same folder of the audio file.

Ah so you are creating a cue. That implementation would work and I get how it would be less confusing for people. I would suggest that there might be an option of auto-naming the saved txt/srt/vtt file with the same name as the source media file. Even better would being able to inject some text at the beginning or the text file, like frontmatter/yaml.

I added batch transcribe to the latest version, you can update it through the app directly in the main window
