Can I use em-shell for other programs

Hi,

I have a large C program ( github.com/gap-system/gap ) I have compiled to wasm with emscripten. I was looking for a nice terminal to use it with. Should I be able to just drop in my file as a replacement? (I don't need to do any forking or execing)
