Get back the name or desc of line

Hi,

For any new event, I want to get back the line's name.
Like that when the user click for a new event, I create a popup with the line's informations (name, desc), to check if he choosed the good line.
And I want to keep this name and desc for my database after.

Hi @ENy91. Thanks for asking about this.

Are you requesting that the onAddClick handler function be passed more information about the row? Currently you get the start time of the clicked cell (in ms, but as a string..) as the first argument, and as the second argument you'd get whatever you may have passed in as the id on the entry. The docs say it's the rowId, but really, it's whatever you put in your source as the row's id (alongside the name, desc, and values, etc..).

Unfortunately, this is not documented, the fact of which is lamented in #120. For now, a workaround for you might be to include the desired information in the id for each row of data in the source you pass to the Gantt. Then you can get it back in your onAddClick function as such:

// ...
source: [{
    name: "Example Row",
    desc: "Here's the example description.",
    values: [ /* ... */ ],
    id: "Example Row: Here's the example description."
}],
onAddClick: function(dt, data) {
    alert(data); // should display "Example Row: Here's the example description."
    // ...
},
// ...

.... yeah. This will be improved and documented in a coming release. Please let me know if this helps.
