How to add @font-face rules through plugin?

I'm using gridsome-tailwind-plugin, and according to its documentation, there is no way to add global CSS other than writing a plugin. In tailwindcss' plugin documentation, it says that @font-face should be added through base styles, but I can't manage to get it to work.

Can somebody help me with it, please? :)
