I liked the original implementation of autofocusing on the first focusable element in a dialog - it lets the user start typing immediately without needing to navigate there manually. This changed with v2 and now every dialog I have must be updated and tested. Seems like the reason for the change was the console warning if there are no focusable elements.
I think there are a couple of options that would improve upon the latest implementation:
Focus on the dialog itself if there are no focusable elements, otherwise go to the first one.
Let the user indicate via a dialog property if they want to focus on the dialog or first element by default.
