Works great! Thank you for sharing!
But on Windows "afters" were not added.
I assume that was due to backslashes at the end of globbed pathes in s:bundles escaping path separating comas:

:echo tr(globpath(&runtimepath, 'bundle/*/'), " ", ',')
C:vim.vim^HundlesnipMate,
:echo tr(globpath(tr(globpath(&runtimepath, 'bundle/*/'), " ", ','), 'after/'), " ", ',')
(empty)

Changing 'bundle/*/' to 'bundle/*/.' (to make backslash escape period) fixed the problem:

:echo tr(globpath(&runtimepath, 'bundle/*/.'), " ", ',')
C:ws.binvim.vim^HundlesnipMate.
:echo tr(globpath(tr(globpath(&runtimepath, 'bundle/*/.'), " ", ','), 'after/'), " ", ',')
C:vim.vim^HundlesnipMate.after

As alternative you may want to try vim-addon-manager which also provides a maintained list of packages (allowing to deprecate superseded packages) and which also allows specifying package dependencies. Eg you can say vim script package A depends on B and B will be fetched automatically.

I welcome everyone to join and or provide feedback.

Hey, I'm glad you liked the horizontal scrolling design. :-) It's done using a jQuery plugin that I wrote called "horizoll". I'll write up an article about it when I get some free time again. In the mean time, feel free to try out the plugin. Cheers!

Hi, on windows (in my case 8.1), vim-unbundle, "unbundles" .get files; for example, output (beginning of it) of :set command: runtimepath=\vimfiles\bundle\ctrlp\.,\vimfiles\bundle\crtrlp.get\., ....
and so on. Is this a bug or problem with windows? gVim works fine, but those .get files are annoying. Thanks for unbundle.vim! Great plugin.

Hey, thanks for reporting this bug! I was able to reproduce it in all Vim 7.x versions running under Windows 7, but it did not occur at all under Linux. Nevertheless, I solved it:

" ignore *.get files in Windows' globpath()
" see http://goo.gl/g1EcnJ for more details
set wildignore =*.get/.

Simply add the above snippet at the top of your vimrc file (before Unbundle.vim is loaded) and you shouldn't see those pesky *.get files in your Vim runtimepath anymore. :-)

It worked, of course! Thanks again! This problem was only on windows, not on Ubuntu (Linux).
