gbp error #60

i get this error:

gbp:error: 'git-pbuilder -us -uc' failed: it exited with 1

when i run

#gbp buildpackage -us -uc

gbp:error: Can't determine package type: Failed to read changelog: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: './debian/changelog'

Also getting a gbp error when following the building steps on Elementary OS
