ADS Browser Tool?

Is there already something like an ADS browser out there? I am imagining a stand-alone application that you can connect to a running PLC where you can navigate through all the variables.

So something similar to the Visual Studio Target Browser (but also showing the online values). And so without needing to have Visual Studio open and running.

This doesn't sound extraordinary, but to my surprise I haven't found anything like this.

If there is nothing like this yet, I could start a project doing this with Pyads and PySide.

There is the AdsTool (part of the https://github.com/Beckhoff/ADS repo), which does let you e.g. read and write variables from the CLI. But it's not a full browser.

i saw something like this once open source but can't remember. We have our own tree view style widget we use at work which is effectively this but in .NET and designed to drop into our .NET hmis. Its fairly trivial to make, I may see if I can open source that actually as a standalone tool, it would be useful. But don't let that stop you from creating one.

That was the one i remembered. But looks unmaintained one off thing so you may be able to improve it.
